JIPMER 2014 Notification & Eligibility Criteria
Jawaharlal Institute of Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) comes under Ministry of Health and is among top 5 medical colleges in India. Its rank clearly justifies the competition it would contain in its exam for the students.
This prestigious medical institute is located in Pondicherry and has the uniqueness that it has the hospital within its campus so that students could practice the medicines in most effective way. Each year it offers courses to around 100 UG students and 75 PG students.
Recently JIPMER has announced the exam notification for JIPMER 2014 entrance exam for MBBS degree and various post graduate courses. The latest notification is cleared by JIPMER board regarding entrance schedule for JIPMER 2014. Official notification regarding application form submission and counseling schedules are yet to be announced which will be published soon here.
JIPMER 2014 Entrance Eligibility Criteria
Students who wish to take part in this exam must check the eligibility criteria as provided by JIPMER for the session 2014-15 so that they could know about their own eligibility for the JIPMER 2014 Entrance Exam.
Applicant must have completed 12th standard with minimum 50% marks for General category and 40% marks for SC/ST category with PCB as their subjects.
Candidates appearing in their final 12th standard examination can also apply for the exam.
Age limit has been fixed at 17 years for the applicants and there is a relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST in the age criteria.
Candidates must be graduated for post-graduation of research programmes.
More educational requirements are expected to be announced soon by the official website of JIPMER for post-graduate courses.
JIPMER 2014 Important Dates
The release date for the application forms has not been announced yet but is expected to be declared soon. Candidates could get them through official websites as well as from the branches of State Bank of India all over the country.
The exam will be conducted in the 1st week of June and result would be declared in the 1st week of July. Examination centres would be mentioned in the application brochures.
The question paper will consist of multiple choice objective questions from Physics, Chemistry, English and Biology. 40 questions would be asked from each subject and negative marking is not applicable.
JIPMER 2014 Entrance Test Reservation Seats
Altogether JIPMER offers a very few seats for its various medical programs. Candidates must get their rank in the merit list to qualify for the exam. Further the seats would be categorized on the basis of reservation system for SC/ST categories. Some seat is also reserved for Pondicherry candidates with other 3% for OPH candidates.
